Some people swear by them. I personally like them so you can hand out chips easily. It also makes cleaning up at the end of the game easier. Chip holders are designed for good poker chips. Each sleeve holds of 20 chips so if your chip value is 5 cents, a sleeve is $1, for 25 cent chips a sleeve is $5.
